A kiu is a hand total of nine — the highest single-round value in Domino QQ. Two tiles whose pip count totals nine form a kiu hand, usually beating lower combinations at the table.

A double tile has the same pip count on both ends — for example, six-six or three-three. Doubles carry specific ranking weight in Domino QQ hand comparisons depending on the table variant you are playing.

Balak refers to a hand made up of two double tiles. It ranks above most standard hands in Domino QQ and triggers an automatic win condition on most live table variants we carry in the arena.

Pip count is the total number of dots across a tile. In Domino QQ, your two-tile hand pip total is reduced to a single digit — only the last digit of the sum is used to determine hand value.

Pure big means all four of your dealt tiles have pip counts of five or higher. Pure small means all four are four or below. Both are special high-rank hands that beat standard kiu combinations at the live table.

A dead hand occurs when none of your tiles form a valid scoring combination under the table's rules. In live arena play, a dead hand typically results in a fold or a forced minimum-rank comparison with the dealer.
